Experience authentic community through our Ekklesia groups. These small, close-knit gatherings offer a space for deep connection, spiritual growth, and mutual encouragement as we walk together in faith.
Ponder this about a raging wood fire. Isn‘t there something mesmerizing, something awe inspiring about the way the wood comes together, to form a hot, radiant fire? And yet, should you isolate one piece of wood from the rest, it cools off quickly. It loses heat. Its fire goes out. It becomes dark, cold and impotent. The fire, too, becomes that bit cooler.
However, were you to return the piece of wood into the fire pit, it would re-ignite and glow alight once again. The fire burns on because the wood pieces feed off each other. God designed them to work that way.
The same can be said of human beings. Christians in a group – in community – will uphold each other and maintain accountability, and be more responsive to God and His transforming power than as isolated individuals. Transformation, growth, perseverance and steadfastness require fellowship in community; it’s how God designed us. This is alluded to in Ecclesiastes 4 : 9 – 12
9Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. 10 If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble. 11 Likewise, two people lying close together can keep each other warm. But how can one be warm alone? 12 A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back–to–back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple–braided cord is not easily broken.
At Nairobi Chapel Waiyaki Way, we have formed fellowship groups precisely for that purpose – for our members to assist each other live out their faith in the walk with Christ, setting each other’s faith on fire in the face of their daily realities and challenges and thus radiating the warmth of Christ‘s love to all around them while enjoying fun and fellowship, and further serving as a beacon to those lost in the dark, cold world.
These are the eGroups (Ekklesia Groups – those called out). You need your eGroup, and your eGroup needs you.
eGroups at Nairobi Chapel Waiyaki Way are small, intimate communities designed to foster spiritual growth, accountability, and fellowship among church members. They serve as a vital component of the church’s discipleship program, providing a supportive environment for individuals to connect with one another, deepen their relationship with God, and actively live out their faith.
